一个好译员首先必须具备良好的演说技巧，而如何处理停顿是则是演说技巧中一个非常重要的方面。一方面，同传的特殊情境决定了在目的语中一些停顿是难以避免的，另一方面，在目的语中，停顿的存在也不全然是消极的，它可以起到分隔意群，促进理解的积极作用。因此，与其想尽办法去避免和消除停顿，不如设法保证合理停顿。为了寻找确保合理停顿的策略，本文针对同传中停顿的分布及长度开展了实证研究，并在研究的基础上围绕如何确保同传目的语中停顿的合理分布与时长提出了建议。 本文一共分为七章，其中第一章为引言，最后一章为结论。 第一章主要介绍研究背景与研究动机。通过将同传译员同演讲者作比较，强调了同传中合理停顿的重要性。 ...A good interpreter is first and foremost, a good public speaker and learning how to pause is an important aspect of public speaking.
