红树林常分布于热带、亚热带海岸潮间带，主要由一些盐生的木本植物组成，通常分为真红树植物和半红树植物。已有一些学者对两类植物的划分作了标准，但由于不同学者对这些概念及标准的理解存在很大的差异，导致对一些生境特征不是很明显的红树植物的归属（如银叶树、海漆、老鼠簕等）存在争议。本文以自然分布于海南的16种真红树植物、8种半红树植物及7种争议物种为对象，分别测定它们成熟叶、幼枝、多年生枝、树干材、树皮及不同直径根系的K、Na、Cl、Ca、Mg含量。从元素分布特点上比较真红树植物和半红树植物存在的差异，并对争议物种的归属做出初步鉴定，从而为科学地保护、管理和利用红树植物提供依据。研究结果表明，真红树植物...Mangroves are halophytes, mainly tree species that grow in tidal saline wetlands along tropical and subtropical coasts.
