目前世界上已报道的绦虫有4000余种，有近半数种类的绦虫寄生于鱼类。大量海洋鱼类尚未被调查，同时许多绦虫之间的系统发育关系亦尚不清楚。本文作者正是针对这些问题而开展研究的。全文共分为两部分： 第一部分:台湾海峡鱼类绦虫物种多样性调查。作者于2003年4月至2005年3月调查了厦门市场常见的海洋鱼类，对检获的绦虫进行仔细的光学显微镜形态观察结合扫描电镜照片比较鉴定。本文共描述11种，分别隶属于三个目，五个科，七个属。其中有两个种类，经作者形态比较鉴定它们为新种，并建议建立一新属来容纳其中一种。具体结果名录如下： 1．日本副棘叶绦虫（ParaechinophallusjaponicusYama...There are nearly 4000 kinds of cestodes that have been reported from all over the world, and close to half of them have been found parasitizing in fishes.
