Runt om i världen finns det idag en stor brist på elektricitet och rent vatten, speciellt i avlägsna samhällen dit infrastruktur inte har hunnit expanderas än. Emergency Energy Module (EEM) är en produkt under utveckling som med hjälp av förnybara energilösningar och vattenrening gör det möjligt att förse utsatta områden med grundliga förutsättningar så att dessa samhällen kan utvecklas och dess invånare kan hålla sig friska.Produkten består av en standard 20-fots ISO-container som vid produktion utrustas med ett färdigmonterat energisystem. Vid leverans till ett avlägset område går det snabbt att montera upp och få igång dess produktion.Den här rapporten syftar till att analysera och föreslå utvecklingsmöjligheter till EEM:ens utformning. Genom att analysera den befintliga EEM:en, dess marknad, den installerade tekniken och de krav som kommer ställas på produkten kunde förslag på utformningen av dess exteriöra och interiöra komponenter tas fram. Resultatet är en hanterbar produkt som genom ett modulsystem smidigt specificeras olika beroende på vart i världen den skall skickas. Genom att förenkla monteringen och användargränssnittet så är utformningen intuitiv nog att användas av personal med en minimal utbildning, något som krävs om produkten skall spendera över 10 år på en utsatt plats någonstans i världen.Around the world today there is a large amount of people who live without access to clean water or electricity. This is especially the case in small, rural societies around the world where the necessary infrastructure have not yet, or cannot be expanded. Emergency Energy Module (EEM) is a mobile product under development which is equipped with renewable energy sources and water cleaning technology. This makes it possible to supply these exposed areas with the necessities that can help the societies to develop, as well as keep their inhabitants healthy.The product consists of a standard 20-feet ISO-container that is equipped with a pre-mounted energy system. After being delivered to a rural area it is quickly mounted and prepared to supply water and electricity.The focus of this report is to suggest possible developments to the design of the EEM. Through analyzing the current EEM, its market, the mounted technology and the amount of use and handling that the user interface will be exposed to, design proposals were made for the exterior and interior modules.The result is a manageable product which through a module system easily is specified according to where in the world it might be sent. Through developing and simplifying the mounting aspect as well as the user interface, the module is intuitive enough to be used by personnel who has only had a brief introduction to the systems. This is essential if the product is to be used for more than 10 years in a rural area somewhere in the world
