Phage B103: Complete genomic sequence and evolutionary relationship to other phages

Abstract

The genome of Bacillus subtilis bacteriophage B103 consists of double-stranded linear DNA 18 630 bp long. The DNA was sequenced, and the sequence was compared to known DNA sequences of related Bacillus phages, members of the 29-like phage genus. This genus of Podoviridae family contains phages B103, BS32, GA-1, M2, Nf, PZA, 15, and 29. They all have the same morphology and similar sizes of genomesAvailable from STL Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi
