HYSTERESIS BEHAVIOUR OF ADN: UBIQUINONE-OXIDOREDUCTASE OF BULL HEART MITOCHONDRIA

Abstract

The investigation object is ADN - ubiquinone-oxidoreductase (complex I) of the bull heart mitochondria. The aim is to study the slow transitions between active and non-active forms of the complex I isolated and as a membrane part. It has been shown that the isolated complex I exists in active and non-active forms. The parameters of reversible transitions are similar for the membrane-connected and isolated enzyme. The scheme describing the hysteresis behaviour of complex I has been proposed.
