CONTROL OVER COOLING OF SLAB ON BASIS OF EFFECT OF REPEAT HEATING OF ITS SURFACE

Abstract

There the purpose is to develop the theory of repeat heating of slab surface in the zone of repeat cooling, the methods and the manners to control the cooling of slab. The interconnection of thermal characteristics of pouring and the temperature state of equipment has been ascertained. The new manner of continuous determination of thickness of metal shell has been developed on the basis of use of effect of repeat heating of slab. The new manner of continuous measurement of temperature of slab surface and of prediction of quality of metal surface on this basis has been developed. The calibration method of system of repeat cooling of metal has been developed. The feasibility study for the overhaul of system of automatic regime has been presented. The means of continuous control of metal temperature have been developed. The means of continuous control of thermal conditions of slab have been introduced.
