The present study aims to analyze the contributions of anthropologist Beatriz Góis Dantas
at the Laranjeiras Cultural Meeting Symposium. Whether through the analysis of
academic training and professional performance, or through the areas of research she
covered, notably how she became interested in the city of Laranjeiras-SE and how she
began her studies on various topics belonging to that location. Laranjeiras, since 1968,
has become a common part of Dantas’ activities. In addition to a vast popular culture, the
municipality has held the Laranjeiras Cultural Meeting annually since 1976. It is the
longest-running and uninterrupted event on folklore and popular culture in the country.
The researcher contributed from its elaboration to its implementation and, during the
forty-eight editions, she participated several times, presenting some result of the countless
researches she developed or as a debater in some communication, or even, producing
books, articles, sources regarding the event. When talking about this event, the name of
the anthropologist is soon mentioned, associating her with this space that she used to
produce and share knowledge.O presente estudo objetiva analisar as contribuições da antropóloga Beatriz Góis Dantas
no Simpósio do Encontro Cultural de Laranjeiras. Seja por meio da análise de formação
acadêmica e atuação profissional, seja pelas áreas de pesquisa abordadas por ela,
notadamente como se deu o seu interesse pela cidade de Laranjeiras-SE e como ela iniciou
seus estudos por diversos temas pertencentes àquela localidade. Laranjeiras, desde 1968,
tornou-se corriqueira dos fazeres de Dantas. Além de uma vasta cultura popular, o
município realiza anualmente o Encontro Cultural de Laranjeiras, desde 1976. É o evento
de duração mais longínqua e ininterrupto sobre o folclore e a cultura popular do país. A
pesquisadora contribuiu da sua elaboração à realização e, durante as quarenta e oito
edições, participou diversas vezes, apresentando algum resultado das inúmeras pesquisas
que desenvolveu ou como debatedora de alguma comunicação, ou ainda, produzindo
livros, artigos, fontes a respeito do evento. Ao falar nesse acontecimento, o nome da
antropóloga logo é mencionado, associando-a esse espaço do qual se utilizou para
produzir e partilhar conhecimento.São Cristóvã
