Interviews with faculty, staff, and administrators of several woodlands tribal colleges demonstrate the powerful ways that tribal colleges impact the lives of their students. Student bodies are diverse, ranging from single parents to recovering alcoholics. Many students who have never succeeded in academic environments before demonstrate astonishing gains in learning and communication skills within a short time.
