GOES-SXI views the Sun in X-rays

Abstract

The Solar X-ray Imager (SXI) aboard GOES-12 went online for full-time operation on January 22, 2003. It provides full-disk X-ray images of the Sun updated every few minutes. This movie covers the band 0.6-6.0 nanometers wavelength. Educational levels: Undergraduate lower division, Undergraduate upper division, Graduate or professional
