Fracture mechanics and mechanical testing laboratory at Inshas. Report No. 3 German-Egyptian cooperation in research and technological development

Abstract

This third progress report is concerned with the following main activities in which the facilities of the laboratory were utilized: Update of the cooperation programme in materials testing; Upgrading of the PSB250 Testing machine; Effect of the chemical composition of pressure vessel steels on their sensitivity to (neutron) irradiation embrittlement; Studying the effect of various austenitization treatments on microstructure, tensile and impact properties of 34CrNiMo6 steel; Effect of electrochemical hydrogen charging on the mechanical properties and corrosion behaviour of 304L steel base metal and 308L steel weldment; Effect of thermal ageing on impact toughness von 304 steel weldment; Assessment of using austenitic stainless steel weld metal for repairing CMn steel componentsAvailable from TIB Hannover: RR 1811(43) / FIZ - Fachinformationszzentrum Karlsruhe / TIB - Technische InformationsbibliothekSIGLEDEGerman
