Abstract

Using the neutron and #gamma# release as an indicator of D-D fusion reactions, the effect of the impact of projectiles with ultra-high velocity (6 km/s) generated by a light-gas gun on metal hydrides (titanium deuteride, lithium deuteride) as the target material has been studied. No indication of a reaction according the fracto-fusion model has been found within the given detection limits of 10"3 fusion reactions.
