Soil erosion and landslides

Abstract

The publication of this report is an action arising from the 2009 Scottish Soil Framework. It aims to contribute to the wider understanding that soils are a vital part of our economy, environment and heritage, to be safeguarded for existing and future generations. The State of Scotland’s Soil Report collates the most recent information available from a variety of sources and builds on previous reports by SEPA (2001) and Towers et al. (2006) and is part of wider environmental reporting activities.
