Deutsches Kontinentales Reflexionsseismisches Programm (DEKORP) Schlussbericht 01.07.1987-31.12.1993

Abstract

During four campaigns from 1987 - 1990 deep reflection seismic profiling has been carried out along ca. 925 km. The so called Integrated Seismic Experiment Oberpfalz (ISO89) included a 3D reflection seismic survey of the surroundings of the KTB deep borehole and a series of seismic experiments. The major objectives were the Variscan orogenic processes and the causes of the crustal seismic reflections. In cooperation with the ECORS-group two profiles have been recorded crossing the Upper Rhine graben and its shoulders. Various developments have been pursued to improve recording, processing and interpreting crustal reflections.
