COSIMA MC technological development Final report

Abstract

NASA and ESA are performing a number of cometary missions in the near future. For this purpose, experiments shall be constructed for the chemical analysis of cometary dust particles. The experiments CIDA and COSIMA are particulate analyzing spectrometers, which are excellent candidates for these missions. They use the principe of the Time-Of-Flight Spectrometry and Fast Data Analysis. This project has prepared the basis for a participation and within its framework fabricated one system.
