A comparison of three-dimensional atmospheric transport models by means of simulations of radon-222 GLOMAC report no. 2

Abstract

Three three-dimensional models of atmospheric transport are currently used by different groups within the EUROTRAC subproject 'Global Modelling of Atmospheric Chemistry (GLOMAC)'. The global transport characteristics of the three models (MOGUNTIA, TM1, ECHAM) are compared by means of simulations of the spatial and temporal atmospheric distribution of the radioactive trace gas radon-222.
