Aktive Dosimetrie

Abstract

The objective of this development task is to check and modify the active dosimeter, developed at the University of Saarland, for use in space and to construct a prototype. Under the study at hand, the corresponding premises and concepts are to be created. Active dosimetry creates an opportunity of determining the radiation exposure in its LET (linear energy transfer) distribution as a function of time and, hence, of the dwelling place. In addition to this, the application potentials of active dosimetry both within and without spaceflight are listed.
