The conference served as a forum for the interim reports of the following individual projects: ''Development and optimation of economic-technical methods of emission abatement and prevention'' (11 lectures); ''Determination and analysis of the effects of air pollutants on forest ecosystems and their distinction from other possible causes of the new type of forest damage'' (16 lectures on the subjects of: forest ecosystem research at the ARINUS sites; forest growth; root and mycorrhiza research; sub-alpine yellowing; forest damage inventory); ''Research into the atmospheric dispersion, conversion, and deposition of pollutants'' (8 lectures); ''Provision of instruments and recommendations for the politico-economic sphere'' (5 lectures).
