Abstract

The study contains a compilation of the results of German and international research projects concerning safety aspects related to the deliberate release of genetically engineered organisms since 1992. The results have been compiled and compared as far as possible. This study is intended to help people working on criteria for the evaluation of safety aspects concerning deliberate release of genetically modified organisms. The most important aspects have been elaborated separately for transgenic microorganisms, plants and animals. Aspects are described with demand for research.
