Abstract

Applying the eddy current method, a testing system for non-destructive determination of mechanical characterization of steel sheets has been developed. For flexible 3-dimensional optical defect inspection on formed sheet metal parts a miniaturized form test sensor is described. Applying moire methods, certain kinds of relevant faults can be automatically recognized. Results from studies on vibration control, compression force control and optical geomery control have been integrated and successfully tested at an automatic punching machine. For continuous operator qualification a new training concept has been developed.
