Organisation d'un système national de pharmacovigilance (étude pilote dans le milieu hospitalier au Liban)

Abstract

L'objectif de cette thèse est de décrire l'organisation générale du système national de pharmacovigilance et de présenter une étude pilote en pharmacovigilance en milieu hospitalier au Liban. La partie théorique comprend un exposé général de la discipline de pharmacovigilance, une description détaillée de la structure, des ressources, du fonctionnement et de la méthodologie du système national de pharmacovigilance. L'étude pilote menée dans 6 hôpitaux de la région du Grand Beyrouth sur l'application d'une méthode active de recueil dans les services de médecine, de soins intensifs et de pédiatrie a révélé des taux de notification très bas (0,84 % de cas et 1,1 % d'EIM par rapport aux admissions) et a permis une description des patients, déclarants, EIM et médicaments suspects notés dans les déclarations. La méthode testée s'est révélée valable dans les hôpitaux où ont eu lieu un suivi de la part de l'administration et une motivation du corps médical et du personnel infirmier.The aim of this thesis is to describe the national pharmacovigilance system and to present a pilot study in pharmacovigilance, in hospital setting in Lebanon. The theoretical part of the work includes a general description of the pharmacovigilance field and a detailed description of the structure, resources, functioning and methods of a national pharmacovigilance system. The pilot study conducted in 6 hospitals in the Big Beirut area about the feasibility of an active method of ADR notification, in medical, intensive care and pediatric wards, showed very low notification rates (0,84 % of cases and 1,1 % of ADR reported to admissions) and allowed the description of patients, reporters, ADR and suspected drugs, mentioned in the notification reports.
