Le syndrome d Eagle

Abstract

Le syndrome d Eagle est une stylalgie bénigne liée à l ossification du complexe stylo-hyoïdien. Les retentissements cliniques, bien que polymorphes, sont toujours cervicaux et oro-faciaux. La première partie donne des rappels embryologiques et anatomiques de la région considérée, puis les aspects cliniques du syndrome d Eagle sont rapportés grâce à une analyse de la littérature. Enfin, un cas clinique traité au CHU de Bordeaux est rapporté.Eagle syndrome is a stylalgia caused by the ossificatin of the stylo-hyoïd complex. Symptoms are multiples and always localized on cervical, oral and facial areas. The first part of the study concerns an embryologic and anatomic description, and then clinical and radiological signs of Eagle syndrome are reported.
