Multicultural education of preschoolers in the organized environment of the preschool education institution

Abstract

В статті представлено теоретичні узагальнення питання організації полікультурного середовища в закладі дошкільної освіти. Розкриваються основні характерологічні особливості полікультурного виховання дитини дошкільного віку, яка взаємодіє з представниками інших національностей та соціалізується в полікультурному просторі. Розглядається поняття «толерантність» як базова якість особистості дошкільника, яка найкраще формується саме в організованому полікультурному середовищі. З’ясовано внесок вітчизняних та зарубіжних вчених у проблему організації полікультурного виховного середовища. Представлено огляд нормативних документів, щодо особливостей полікультурного виховання дитини дошкільного віку. Статтю висвітлено на основі змін суспільних запитів та нормативного забезпечення освіти.The article is aimed at studying the theoretical foundations of organizing a multicultural environment in a preschool education institution. It has been found that for forming a multicultural personality, it is necessary to create favorable conditions, namely the multicultural environment in the kindergarten. This will allow the child to develop, socialize, communicate and interact with children of other nationalities, and to engage in dialogue. Children will be able to show tolerance, kindness and respect for other cultures. Children are different, nationalities are also different. But there must be something in common that unites them. For example, they all learn and speak a common language and have common activities. It is also obvious that children notice differences in cultures and should treat it with understanding. This means that we need to form such basic quality of preschooler personality as tolerance. It is important to focus on the similarities of cultures, what do they have common there. This will teach them to be one whole and at the same time each one is special. We also considered the problem of raising preschool children in an organized multicultural environment in the context of regulatory documents and educational programs. After all, they are the basis of educational activities of pre-school institutions, which is a benchmark for pedagogical workers. The normative documents outline certain features of the multicultural upbringing of preschoolers that the child should know about other cultures and nationalities. From this it follows that the teacher should give the children basic knowledge of other cultures of the world so that they may have an understanding of other nationalities and treat them with respect. It is also very important for children to develop an interest in communicating and learning about each other's cultural characteristics. This will help them in the future to be open to communicating and building dialogue with people of other nationalities. The article argues for the importance of educating a multicultural personality in an organized environment. It is revealed that multicultural education contributes to the formation of important qualities of a preschooler's personality for his further interaction with representatives of other nationalities and cultures. Therefore, educating preschoolers in a multicultural environment should facilitate their intercultural interaction and communication with each other
