Abstract

Resumen: Se determina la eficiencia de las series de televisión producidos por las OPC como material educativo en las escuelas, particularmente en grados profesionales. Detalla cómo estas producciones pueden ser explotadas por las OPC al querer incrementar sus utilidades, mediante la elaboración de productos que también eduquen. Se analizan las series como herramientas culturales y de entretenimiento. Se estudian los efectos de las producciones en los alumnos así como se investiga el concepto de alfabetización audiovisual. Finalmente, se constató la veracidad de diversos datos comprendidos en la serie CSI: Miami así como lo aprendido por estudiantes expuestos a este material. Abstract. This research is intended to determine the efficiency of the television series produced by the OPC as educational material in schools, particularly in professional degrees. It details, how this productions can be highly exploited by the OPC when they try to increase their economic wealth by developing educational products. The perception of television series as cultural and entertainment tools is analyzed. The effects in the students, of audiovisual production and the concept of media literacy are studied.
