Abstract

In this paper four German textbooks addressed to Italian secondary school students and published between 1945 and 1960 are examined. Three parameters of analysis are considered: structure, method, syllabus. After comparing the textbooks, the issue of the status of post-WWII textbooks from today’s perspective will be discussed
