Abstract

This paper is a retrospective analysis of the anthropological methods of investigation used to determine the role and functioning of both formal and informal credit in a nomadic fishing community. It also deals with the problem of state intervention in inland fisheries and the perspectives for a better understanding of these communities faced with new development opportunities. (Résumé d'auteur
