Kolminaisuus, ruumiillisuus ja sukupuoli

Abstract

The article scrutinizes approaches of Janet Martin Soskice and Gavin D’Costa on Trinity, embodiment and gender. My aim is to approve that the doctrine of the Trinity is in close connection with embodiment and assess Soskice’s and D’Costa’s answers on gender-related questions that have arisen from the connection between embodiment and the Trinity. The aim of the article is to prove first that orthodox interpretations of the doctrine of the Trinity are not essentially exclusive to women and secondly that the Trinitarian approach provides an intriguing model to understand sexual difference at human level.Peer reviewe
