Tunable diode lasers and spectroscopy

Abstract

The two techniques of the LD linewidth narrowing are used in spectroscopy: strong coupling to a low-Q external cavity1, and weak coupling to a multi-pass interferometer2. Both techniques have advantages3. The introduction is focused on the possibilities of realizing the stable single mode operation of a LD strongly coupled to high-Q cavity.</jats:p
