L’epigrafe funeraria di Amphilochos figlio di Lago potrebbe essere la testimonianza della presenza di un architetto alessandrino a Rodi tra la fine del III secolo e l’inizio del successivo. Il documento è particolarmente interessante alla luce delle vicende storiche ed architettoniche della città che subisce proprio in quegli anni una profonda ristrutturazione dopo la catastrofe del terremoto del 228-227 a.C.The funerary inscription of Amphilocos, son of Lagos may suggest the presence of an alexandrine architect in Rhodes between the end of the 3rd and the beginning of the 2nd century B.C. This document is all the more interesting if we place it in the historical and architectural context of a city which, at that time, was in the process of being rebuilt after the terrible earthquake of 228-227 B.C
