El denominado altermundismo, no sólo como movimiento social, sino también como corriente de pensamiento crítico con el sistema actualmente existente, aúna hoy a las diferentes luchas emancipadoras que a nivel “glocal” se organizan para cambiar el mundo. Los valores del otro mundo posible apuntan hacia la justicia global de las sociedades contemporáneas y la creación de un mundo más igualitario y sostenible. En este horizonte utópico, la emancipación de la humanidad se presenta como el objetivo final de la transformación social. Para el movimiento altermundista, la emancipación del Hombre sólo es posible en una sociedad alternativa a la neoliberal, que no oprima a los más desfavorecidos. La nueva sociedad emancipadora será aquella donde cada sujeto sea autónomo y por tanto, capaz de tomar sus propias decisiones atendiendo a sus necesidades. Para llegar a la verdadera emancipación social global, es necesario un trabajo previo de traducción y de reconocimeinto entre saberes y culturas.Nowadays, the so-called alter-globalization combines the various emancipation struggles that are being organized at a "glocal" level in order to change the world. Alter-globalization is not only as a social movement, but also a stream of critical thinking of Capitalist system. The values of the movement for another possible world point to the global justice in contemporary societies and the creation of a more equitable and sustainable world. In this utopian horizon, the emancipation of Humanity is considered to be the ultimate goal of social transformation. According to the global justice movement, the emancipation of the human being is only possible in an alternative society to neoliberalism where poor people are not opressed. In this new society, every individual will be autonomous and therefore able to make his or her own decisions according to his or her needs. In order to achieve a true global social emancipation, it is necessary a translation and recognition work between different knowledges and cultures
