El present article tracta sobre la figura de Josep Sunyol i Garriga, periodista, polític i president del F.C. Barcelona en el moment del seu assassinat a mans de les tropes franquistes les primeres setmanes de la Guerra Civil, i que durant dècades ha restat pràcticament en l’oblit. Aquest article analitza les múltiples facetes d’un personatge rellevant del primer terç del segle XX a Catalunya que va destacar per la seva activitat en la premsa, la política i l’esport.
