In this article we study the inscription of consecration of the church of Holy Mary, in the village of Er (Cerdanya). This study includes all of its epigraphic aspects. So, we consider the inscription a document in which we have to analyze not only its textual content but also its functional and external characters, with special attention to the resolution of the chronological problems
