Les metropolis contemporanies són punts condensadors on se superposen les cultures i les naturaleses que I'ésser huma en societat ha creat durant la seva historia. La sensació dels habitants d'aquestes grans aglomeracions és que amb les actuals tecnologies que colonitzen nous universos immaterials s'allunyes: d'una suposada (<naturalesa), de la que procedien per tal submergir-se en les paoroses aigües de I'artifici i els simulacres. Aquí s'analitzen aquests trajectes que van de la metropolis i les seves tecnologies a I'ésser huma, i d'ell als imaginaris que es multipliquen. Trajecte que també va d'aquests imaginaris, de les imatges d'allo immaterial -els simulacres-, a la ciutat que hom encara contempla com a real i que tanmateix ja veu desapareixer.Contemporary metropoli are points of merger where cultures and natures become superimposed. The inhabitants of these huge conglomerations look at new technologies as intruders in our non-material universes. As a resull, we become immersed in the dreadful waters of imitation and simulacrum, running away from a nature that we take as an original point of departure. This paper explores the paths that run from metropoli and their technologies to the human being, and, then, to the current proliferation of imaginary dimensions. The non-material images and the imaginary worlds would explain why we view the city as real, and why we are afraid of its de-realization and elimination
