Estudio de los personajes de la aristocracia de los territorios de Austria, Bohemia y Hungría que pertenecieron a la orden del Toisón de Oro a lo largo de los siglos XVI y XVII. Dado que el rey de España fue soberano de la orden desde Carlos I, el análisis de los personajes permite ver el grado de relación de los círculos gobernantes de la corte imperial con la corte española. El número de austriacos y bohemios en la orden fue muy bajo durante el siglo XVI y se incrementó considerablemente a lo largo del siglo XVII, durante la guerra de los Treinta Años y sobre todo durante el reinado de Leopoldo I. Las concesiones beneficiaron fundamentalmente a un pequeño número de familias de los países hereditarios.This paper aims to study aristocratic figures in the Austrian, Bohemian and Hungarian territories who belonged to the Order of the Golden Fleece throughout the 16th and 17th Century. Given that since Charles I a Spanish king was sovereign of the order, the analysis of aristocrats shows the degree of contact between the Imperial court’s governing circles and that of the Spanish court. The number of Austrians and Bohemians in the order was very low during the 16th century, it increased considerably during the Thirty Year War and even more so during the reign of Leopold I. Concessions fundamentally beneficiated a small number of families from countries with noble lineage
