"El discernimiento ético de la pareja humana, un don, una tarea” es una reflexión dirigida a las parejas en vista a a ayudarles a tomar conciencia de su capacidad de discernimiento y de responsabilidad de frente a los conflictos que las ‘antinomias’ de la existencia humana (ley-libertad, doctrina-vida, norma-situación concreta) les plantean a diario. La enseñanza del post-Concilio Vaticano II reconoce a las parejas de esposos la capacidad de discernir y decidir siguiendo el dictamen de la conciencia conyugal. A iluminarles en el ejercio de esta capacidad-responsabilidad están la ‘equidad’ y la ‘epiqueya, categorías viejas que vuelven a tener plena vigencia.“The Ethical Discernment of the Human Couple, a Gift, a Task” is a reflection intended for couples with a view to assisting them to become aware of their capacity for discernment and their responsibility to face up to the conflicts that the “opposing pairs” of human existence (law–freedom, doctrine–life, theory–practice) present on a daily basis. Post-Vatican II teaching recognizes that married couples have the ability for discerning and taking decisions guided by their joint conscience. To assist them in the practice of this capacity–responsibility there are the notions of “fairness” and “prudent interpretation of the law”, which are coming back into full force
