Aquest estudi cerca les arrels del ministeri apostòlic o de comunió en el Nou Testament (Escriptura) i té en compte els estudis i les síntesis ja fetes sobre els textos litúrgics i patrístics dels primers segles, representatius de l’Església indivisa, i els estudis i les síntesis dels textos conciliars de Trento i del Vaticà II, representatius de l’Església llatina (Tradició), sense oblidar-ne la dimensió ecumènica.
Constata que el ministeri de comunió, d’un banda, garanteix que la Paraula acollida i l’Eucaristia celebrada siguin les rebudes de Crist i dels Apòstols, gràcies al do de l’Esperit; i de l’altra, serveix a l’evangelització i a l’edificació de l’Església com a comunió volguda pel Pare, instituïda pel Fill i sostinguda i animada per la força de l’Esperit.
I conclou que el ministeri de comunió (bisbe, preveres, diaques) existeix en relació amb l’Eucaristia i amb l’Evangeli de Déu, és a dir, amb el misteri pasqual. Una relació que estructura el ministeri des de tres peus: l’Evangeli, l’Eucaristia (i els altres sagraments) i la solidaritat, els tres peus amb què l’Església camina cap al Pare, acompanyada per Crist i amb la força de l’Esperit. Una relació que també el converteix en memòria i signe sempre present de la visita activa de Déu en Jesucrist pel do de l’Esperit.This study looks for the roots of the apostolic ministry, or the ministry of communion in the New Testament (The Scriptures). It takes into account the studies and the syntheses already made about the liturgical and Patristical texts of the first centuries, representative of the undivided Church, and the studies and syntheses of the conciliar texts of Trent and of Vatican II, representative of the Latin Church (Tradition), without forgetting their ecumenical dimension.
The article ascertains that the ministry of communion on the one hand guarantees that the received Word and the celebrated Eucharist are the ones received from Christ and the Apostles, thanks to the gift of the Spirit; on the other hand, it serves the evangelization and the building of the Church as a communion desired by the Father, instituted by the Son and sustained and animated by the strength of the Spirit.
The article concludes that the ministry of communion (bishop, priests, deacons) exists in relationship with the Eucharist and with the Gospel of God, that is, with the Paschal mystery. It is a relationship that establishes the ministry on a three-fold base: the Gospel, the Eucharist (and the other sacraments) and solidarity. These are like three feet with which the Church walks towards the Father, accompanied by Christ and with the strength of the Spirit. It is a relationship that also converts the ministry into memory and sign always present in the active visit of God in Jesus Christ by the gift of the Spirit
