Through this anthology of Bartomeu Fiol’s poetry, we focus on a study of the imagery in his works.
The disconcerting element in Fiol’s imagery can be explained through a conception of poetry where content
prevails over form and ethics over aesthetics. Poetry’s objective is to underline reality and emphasize
innovation. It can safely be said that images of immobility and kinaesthesia form the core of Bartomeu Fiol’s
poetic universe: his poetry, thoughts and humans relations are expressed through images of movement
