En el siguiente artículo presentamos unas claves dicotómicas para los taxones cultivados como ornamentales del género Agave L. en la Península Ibérica e Islas Baleares, incluyendo numerosos taxones ampliamente cultivados y conocidos como A. americana L., A. sisalana Perrine o A. attenuata Salm.-Dyck, junto a otros muy raros en cultivo en colecciones europeas, como A. avellanidens Trelease, A. nizadensis Cutak, A. neomexicana Wooton & Standley etc., y taxones descritos recientemente en la Península Ibérica a partir de ejemplares pertenecientes a colecciones como A. gonzaloi D. Guillot & Meer y Agave x rossellonensis D.
