Technological innovations, changes in locational patherns and in the centrality of med-size cities

Abstract

A reestruturação das cidades encontra determinantes interurbanos e intra-urbanos e na combinação desses níveis da realidade é passível de ser apreendida. Esse processo de compreensão permite que se questionem duas realidades complementares e distintas: a escala da rede e a escala da forma urbana. Nesse processo, colocam-se as questões sobre centralidade. A abordagem desse tema foi feita priorizando-se as atividades econômicas numa dupla relação entre localização (usos do solo) e conteúdos diferenciados das empresas, que as qualificavam em diferentes níveis de inserção local e não local e de densidade informacional.The urban restructuring and the restructuring of the cities has intercity and intra-urban determinatives and by combination of those levels of reality they are possible to apprehend them. That understanding process allows questioning two complementary and different realities: the scale of the net and the scale in the urban morphology. That level of discussion was brought to the mid-size cities. In this process, centrality questions are placed. The approach of this subject was made by prioritizing the economic activities in a double relationship between location (uses of the soil) and differentiated contents of the companies that qualified them in different levels of local and non local insertion and of informational density
