An electronic (Coulter Counter) particle size analysis method and associated procedures
are described. Advantatges of the technique are short time and small sample volume
required. Particle size analysis of fine silt and clay fractions of the sediments is a useful
parameter in some geochemical studies. Application of the method is illustrated by particle
size analysis of Eocene and Oligocene fluvial and lacustrine sediments from the eastern
margin to the Ebro Depression
