A través del análisis de dos conocidas inscripciones procedentes de Halicarnaso, Syll. 3 45 y Syll. 3 46, se analiza con detalle, en primer término, la relación territorial y política, a lo largo del siglo v a. C. , entre Halicarnaso y la comunidad vecina de Salmacis. En segundo lugar, partiendo de la antroponimia y toponimia de ambos epígrafes, se introducen algunas precisiones en torno al carácter mixto greco-cario de la población de ambos centros y a la historia de la presencia griega en la región.By re-analyzing two well-known inscriptions from Halicarnassus, Syll. 3 45 and Syll. 3 46, we focus, firstly, on the territorial and political relationships between Halicarnassus and the neighbouring community of Salmacis throughout the v cent. B. C. Secondly, with the anthroponymic and toponymic data as a starting point, we introduce some precisions regarding the Greco-Carian mixed character of the population of both centres and the history of the Greek presence in the region
