Abstract
Events that we have found interesting or, at least, curious, and a summary of the main trends that have been observed during 2004 and that will surely remain present during the year 2005. We have structured this note into two sections: The first is entitled "Overview of the world of professional information" and is written to show the main trends in our context. The second section, "Ephemerides", brings together a selection of the main events of library science and documentation of the year 2004. It is organized in the following sections: Associations, Libraries and archives, Congresses, Publishing, Companies and market, and Internet. Within each section, the information is sorted chronologically
