Las iniciaciones mistéricas siempre han estado relacionadas con la mejor suerte en el Más Allá de sus iniciados y el conocimiento que sobre el mundo subterráneo tenían los mistas. En estas líneas queremos desarrollar la idea de la existencia de una experiencia de muerte ritual en el seno de las iniciaciones mistéricas griegas, centrando nuestra atención en los misterios eleusinos y órficos. Atenderemos también al testimonio del oráculo de Trofonio y a su particular forma de consulta de la que, probablemente, se derivó la creencia de que existieron unos misterios en el antro de Lebadea.The mystical initiations have always conveyed the knowledge of the Underworld for their initiates and the happiness of the mistae in the after life. Throughout this paper we want to develop the idea of the existence of ritual death within the mystical initiations in Greece, focusing our attention on the Eleusinian and Orphic ones. We will also take notice of the distinctive form of consulting within the Trophonion’s oracle, which probably, led to the belief of the existence of mystical initiations in the cavern of Lebadea
