En el presente artículo analizo brevemente el papel que el llamado «software de autor» puede desempeñar en el aula de lengua e idiomas, así como su relación con los estilos de aprendizaje. Uno de los principales valores pedagógicos de estas herramientas estriba en el hecho de que, dadas las características propias del entorno virtual, se hace posible minimizar los problemas planteados por los diferentes estilos de aprendizaje de los alumnos y el estilo de enseñar del profesor, facilitando de este modo los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje.The purpose of this paper is to briefly point out the possibilities of teacher authoring tools in the language and foreign language classroom, and the implications posed in relation to learning styles.One of the main pedagogic assets of this type of software is the fact that, due to the nature of e-learning, it is possible to minimize the problems posed by the students' different learning styles and the teaching style of the instructor, thus facilitating the teaching-learning process
