estructura escénicadel original griego, a fin de dar mayor realce al papel del siervo
Crísalo. Los engaños de éste son tres, de los cuales sólo los dos últimos son efectivos;
a ellos aludía el título griego AtgÉ~aaraiOw (Bis decipiens). Plauto prefirió, por
razones de actualidad, poner como título el nombre de las dos meretrices, cuya acción
seductora sobre los dos jóvenes y sus padres se manifiesta al principio y al final
