El autor de este artículo pretende aproximar las diversas versiones del conocido mito del «Diluvio», tomando como punto de partida el relato de Ovidio en Metamorfosis I, 253-312. Si realizamos una cuidadosa lectura del relato latino así como de la versión griega, podemos comprobar que este mito no puede ser independiente de la historia del «Diluvio» que conocemos a partir de las fuentes Sumerias, Acadias y Hebreas, especialmente de Atramhasis, la undécima tablilla del poema de Gilgamesh y el Antiguo Testamento. Esto resultará más claro si las comparamos punto por punto.The author of this paper tries to relate the several versions of the famous Flood myth, starting from Ovid´s story (Metam. I, 253-312). If we read carefully the Latin story as well as the Greek version, we can verify that this myth cannot be independent of the Flood story that we know from Sumerian, Akkadian and Hebrew sources, especially from Atramhasis, the eleventh tablet of the Gilgamesh epic and the Old Testament.
