Planes estratégicos en las bibliotecas universitarias españolas

Abstract

El establecimiento de planes estratégicos en todas las universidades españolas es, en estos momentos, una necesidad que se está haciendo realidad en cada una de las organizaciones universitarias de este país. Teniendo en cuenta que la Biblioteca es un servicio estratégico, ya que atiende las necesidades de los tres tipos básicos de usuarios: estudiantes, profesores e investigadores, es interesante investigar qué bibliotecas universitarias han diseñado un plan estratégico propio y cuáles aparecen insertos en el Plan Estratégico de su propia Universidad; por otro lado, nos ha parecido interesante analizar en este artículo la concepción que tienen las universidades sobre el servicio bibliotecario, mediante el análisis de la misión y funciones que aparecen en los Estatutos, en los Reglamentos o en los propios Planes EstratégicosThe need to establish strategic plans in all Spanish universities is at present a requirement becoming true all over university organisations in our country. Considering that libraries are a strategic service, since they attend the needs of our three basic customer types: students, teachers and researchers, it is interesting to explore which university libraries have designed their own strategic plan, and which happen to be inserted into their own Universitie’s; in the other hand, we thought interesting to analyze in this article the methodology followed accross the plan design, as well as to know the results obtained from the implementation of those strategic plans
