EU assistance to Ukraine in the last ten years

Abstract

After the Chernobyl nuclear accident and particularly after independence in 1991, Ukraine has received significant technical assistance from the European Union. The main mechanisms for improvement of nuclear, radiation and radioactive waste safety were the TACIS and INSC instruments.
