Chapter 26: La Pineta e la Macchia: Dinamica, Conservazione e Gestione

Abstract

In the book chapter, the main results of the numerous research activities, made in the Maremma Regional Park since 1997, are discussed and explained; moreover a detailed description of the two principal mediterranean ecosystems, coastal pinewood and macchia, characterizing the park, is given. Finally the authors give, on the basis of the research activities, the appropriate silvicultural indications to support future decision and management of the Maremma Regional Park.JRC.H.2-Climate chang
