Unusual neck pathology in a Nevisian prehistoric individual

Abstract

Over the years, a small series of skeletal remains have been collected by the Nelson Museum. Despite the poorpreservation of the material, several specimens exhibited pathological changes. Severe neck pathology was found in onespecimen deriving from the prehistoric site of Coconut Walk. This paper presents the changes in the vertebrae andelsewhere within this individual and proposes block vertebrae (possibly even Klippel-Feil syndrome) as the diagnosis
